With today‘s globalizing world and liberalization of UE agriculture politics the area of business risk management , including price risk management in the farm sector is gaining in significance. In the paper was presented problem of risk in agro business, and identifies risk management tools available in Polish agriculture. Also was indicate the role of commodity futures market as a tools which will form an integral part of trade in farm commodities having a stabilizing impact on farm’s income and also on competitiveness on the market. The concluding statement was that using other European futures market as a way to hedging price in the domestic farm market is difficult due to difference in economic condition and lack of connection between those market.
